Vacation recap!
Last week we were in San Diego for a little family vacation. My parents rented two beachside condos that we stayed at for a week! Everyone was there: Chris, myself and the boys of course...Tanner and Betsy, Mom and Dad, Taylor and Destiny, Aubry and Travis and cousin Shalie Ruth....we even met up with Aunt Bette, Uncle Bill, Aunt Colleen, cousins Elijah, Isaiah, and Urial as well as Cousin Doug, Kim and thier kids Nick, Anna, Daniel and Zach. It was a houseful but it was really fun to get to see everyone! Here are the pictures already!

All the cousins swimming at the condo pool in their tubes!!!

The boys and I at Seaworld!!! We had to get a picture with the sesame street gang!

One night we took a trip to seaport village where we did some shopping, saw some boats and Dax even made a few feathered friends.

I've been tagged
Aubry has tagged me... I think she is challenging me since she knew I probably wouldnt do it. I'm just going to play this little game of tag to prove her wrong! I have a few minutes this sunday morning anyway since im waiting for my rolls to rise.
How To Play This Game of Tag:Post these rules on your blog.Answer these 15 questions about yourself on your blog.
List:3 joys3 fears3 goals3 current obsessions/collections3 random/surprising facts-Tag five people at the end of your post by leaving their names.-Let them know they are tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
3 joys:
1-cooking
2-shopping
3-spending time with my boys
3 fears:
1-that my kids are going to grow up too fast
2-that im going to be thirty before I know it
3-spiders!!!!
3 goals 1-to get a degree and a job so that I dont have to wait tables for the rest of my life. 2-to take more pictures 3- write in my diary/journal more often
3 obsessions
1-shopping...doesnt matter what store or where. My shopping obsessions has to be delt with on a daily basis. sometimes I just feel like I NEEd to buy something. It can be the dollar store. you'd be suprised how many times i have gone in there and come out with 25 dollars of NOTHING in my sack.
2-reality tv shows....are nothing but garbage usually but I enjoy them. This is a guilty pleasure
3-eating food.... I was on a diet recently and only then did I realize how much of my life revolves around food and eating. I think as americans we are pigs and a lot of social activities involve eating, which is really quite sad. This probably explains the 20 extra lbs that I carry around on my hips and stomach.
3 suprising facts:
1-I am very competitive especially when it comes to games. I just dont like to loose. It makes me feel like, well, a looser. who wants to feel like a looser? Many fights with friends have recently been over board games or uno. we have even fought over sorry and scrabble sad. I started to think that I was a sore looser but then I realized it couldnt be me...so I think I must be playing with sore winners.
2-im a perfectionist. You would never know by the amt of piled up dirt laundry or my messy bedroom and disgusting car. Its kindof demented becuase if I cant achieve perfection in something then I will not even try. If I cant be totally organized I would rather not even try. I know it sounds crazy.
3-I think I want to be a nurse but I am terrified of blood and guts. ok im done.....
yay me! I tag.....leslie and rheanna and....shooot I dunno anyone else that reads my blog Oh maybe tracy

just my thoughts
I really have mixed feelings about telling me kids about things like "the easter bunny", santa clause, the tooth fairy, santa claus etc. I mean are we really expecting them to believe in a GIANT BUNNY who comes into thier house at night to hide eggs and leave candy and treats for them. I personally think its a bit creepy. So did colbyn this year. He freaked out thinking someone was coming into his house and kept saying "no ho ho". He somehow related it to santa coming and was easy about someone coming into the house while he was sleeping. After trying to calm him down with no success I finally took back what I said about "the easter bunny". I told him No Dewy nobody is coming into the house. Ho hos are not coming. Your ok. But how silly did I feel after telling my kids a lie that scared the crap out of them. I dont know how long these traditions of believing in santa will last. My brother had a girlfriend who to this day is still upset with her parents for making her believe in santa only to find out later on in life that he was fictional. she didnt want to be lied to. I dont like to be lied to. We teach out kids about honesty but expect them to believe TALL TALES about deer flying and giant bunnies. silliness if you ask me.
Easter sunday
The boys had a good easter this year. We colored easter eggs the night before I showed dax how to make a nest out of his clothes on the floor so the easter bunny would have a place to leave his basket.(an old family tradition) I didnt get a picture of this unfortunately but I did get a few shots in during the easter hunt. The boys got fishing poles in their easter basket and lots of little toys. Grandma Thompson put on her easter hunt and made a delicious dinner. All in all it was a fun day.
friends&bithdays
Hi its been a while since ive been around. I've been staying busy. hanging out with friends and the boys and having fun. I had a birthday on March 16th!!! I am finally 21! wink wink... I cant believe how old im REALLY getting. I cant believe I am almost thirty! (Its a little less painful to type it out rather than use NUMBERs.) anyway here are some pictures from my birthday and just haning out with friends...
The picture on the left is me with my friends Amy and Ahsley. On the right is me and my friend Chris shopping! He is a shopping fool! That may be my favorite thing about him! He was a good sport that day. I think I was in Anthropology for 45 minutes alone.

I did it!
I recently kicked a 23 year habit and thought it was noteworthy. As you can see from the picture I stopped biting my fingernails! yay! I have been trying for YEARS. They say it takes 2 weeks to break a habit. It's been just over two weeks! Do you think this means I am in the clear? yay for me! (pats herself on the back, toots her own horn)
Happy 4th Birthday Daxten B!!!
Happy Birthday Dax! Dax turned 4 this year. He actually had two birthday celebrations for him. One before his birthday with Pa (since pa would be out of town on the actual birthday) and then a small celebration on his actual birthday. For his actual birthday we took a trip to the Build A Bear workshop at the mall. Aunt Rheanna sent him a gift card this year which he used for some fun clothes and accessories for the puppy he chose to build. Thanks Aunt Rheanna! Later on that evening we had another birthday cake for him. A CARS cake naturally and party hats to boot! Happy Birthday to my big handsome four year old boy!

Merry Christmas 2007
What a sad christmas tree....this is actually the AFTER picture. I couldnt turn the lights on because the tree was DEAD at this point and I probably would have started the bastment on fire. But you get the idea right? ok-so I was short on christmas photos which is kindof sad since I did get a new camera for christmas. I just have to get used to actually taking it places and USING it.
Pumpkin Carvin'
This year uncle Tanner grew some giant pumpkins right in the back yard. He needed the assistance of the bike buggy to haul them to the front of the house for carving. The home family joined in on the carving(grama, pa, Betsy, Tanner, mom and the boys)! Here are a few after shots of our pumpkins on Halloween night.
Happy Belated Halloween!!!
Better late than never....
I know I am kindof slow but today I will be uploading some pictures from christmas, halloween, and whatever else I feel like throwing on here. Better late then never right?
